Gianna Is Born!

November 9, 2003

Just a day shy of her Grandmom Fassett's birthday, Gianna Tara was born 7:58 am on November 9 at the Naval Hospital in Oak Harbor, two days before her due date. Pam was very happy that she was a little early since Jayden was 10 days overdue. She weighed 8 lb. 6 oz. and was 23 inches long.

The labor wasn't as painful or as long as the first time. Also, Pam was able to get an epidural this time, which was much better than the spinal tap she had with Jayden.

Jayden came to the hospital later that night and couldn't wait to point to his little sister and say "baby."

Mom-Mom Visits New Baby

December 6-13, 2003

Pam's mom Elaine (aka The Mom-Mom) left the snowy streets of Bristol, Pa.,  to meet grandchild number two: Gianna Tara. Mom-Mom's flight was delayed three hours because of the snow, but she made it to Seattle okay.

She spent the week holding Gia and playing with grandchild number one: Mr. Precious. Jayden was happy to see her too and even started calling her Mom-Mom.

Since Jason was in Vegas for two weeks, Pam appreciated the company and help. Jason came back the day before Mom-Mom had to leave but he had the flu so she didn't see much of him unfortunately.

Both Pam's Mom and Dad will both be visiting sometime in March.

Mom-Mom: "Look how she's looking at me. She must really love me." Gia: "Hmm, I wonder if she has any milk for me?"

Jayden Turns 2

December 18, 2003

It's hard to believe that another year has past in the life of our son, Jayden Daniel. He seems like such a big boy now. He loves to run around the house and play with his toys. And he loves to talk! From the time he wakes up in the morning until I turn off his light at bedtime (even then he still gets a few more words in). You can't always understand what he says, but he has a nice little repertoire of understandable words. He's our little mimic too. It's time for Mommy and Daddy to watch what they say! See more milestones...

For Jayden's second birthday we had a party, complete with an Elmo cake, balloons, and yummy pizza and cookies. Jayden's friends 'lil Mason, Big Mason, Vaughn, Jobun, Spencer, Patrick, Buzz, and Marissa helped him to celebrate, along with baby Jackson and, of course, his baby sister, Gia. Mom-Mom Pezzola was there too!

The party was supposed to take place at the Fassett house but because Jason was sick with the flu we decided to move it to Jobun's house. Jayden got lots of presents, including a Barney chair, Sit and Spin, Hot Wheels big car, Wiggles microphone, remote control Jeep Liberty, Bob the Builder truck and video, and a block train.

Be-Bop and Me-Mom's Christmas Visit

December 22-29, 2003

Jason's parents, Sandy and Danny, came to town along with Santa for a fun-filled Christmas. They cooked us all a turkey feast Christmas day and brought tons of gifts to open on Christmas morning.

Instead of calling them Grandmom and Grandpop, Jayden decided that "Be-Bop" and "Me-Mom" are much cooler (and easier) to say.

Jayden got a new wagon, books, learning pad, and clothes. In other gifts, Pam and Jason got a web cam so that friends and family can see live video of the them and the kids.

Christmas Day was clear and sunny so we all took a walk with Jayden in the new wagon...he loved it so much he fell asleep!

Jayden loves Be-Bop's beard. Me-Mom kept Gianna nice and warm, and vice versa.
