In July, Jason left VAQ-142 to join
the Electronic Attack Weapons School (EAWS). There he will first attend
the school as a student and then stay on as an instructor until sometime
in 2004. He will be teaching numerous
subjects related to aviation warfare. Though most of his time will be spent in the classroom and in simulators, he will still get to fly in the Prowler. Fortunately he won't have to go on any deployments. However, he will be taking occasional mini trips here and there. To read more about EAWS, visit their web site. |

| The Fassetts took us to Grounds for Sculpture in Trenton, N.J., where, in addition to displaying original sculptures, artists recreate the settings of famous paintings. This one is based on two famous Monet paintings. (Click to view them) | Jayden needed a little nap while touring the grounds. |

(May) Jason had one word to describe his
son after not seeing him since early February --- HUGE! The three of us reunited at baggage claim at Sea-Tac airport on May 2. He actually came back 10 days earlier than the rest of his squadron. After Jason's upcoming vacation, he'll be checking out of Squadron 142 to start his new job as an instructor for the weapons school. It's so nice to finally have him home. Father and son have a lot of catching up to do! |
